MENTAL HEALTH AND POVERTY:
Culture Counts!

This workshop provides opportunities to better understand the lives of those living in poverty and coping with mental illness, challenge stigmas and implicit biases, while identifying meaningful strategies for increasing client engagement and support towards reunification and holistic wellness. 

HONORING DIVERSITY: Strategies for Culturally Adapting Evidence-Based Interventions

In this session, attendees will explore the need for cultural adaptation and obtain meaningful, real-world applications for implementing culturally specific strategies within evidence-based practices.

THE COLOR OF TRAUMA: Validating Experiences, Accepting Differences and Acknowledging Mistakes

This training explores the diverse experiences of trauma and how historical oppression affects current generations' experience with depression, low self-esteem, anger, and self-destructive behavior. Participants are encouraged to challenge social norms and will learn strategies to support populations experiencing historical trauma.
